Seeking a 3rd Term City Council Seat

Doug's Message:
My Priorities: A Safe City, An Orderly City, A Responsible Budget

I believe my priorities mirror the desires of the people of our community. My continued focus will be to deliver on these priorities. Listening to you and hearing your concerns are key to keeping the city on track. It's my job to present your concerns to Mayor John Flynn, and his department heads. It's a conversation that has to happen consistently, and I will contunue to work to fulfill that obligation.

I'm a veteran of the council, I've put in the time and done the work. If you follow the business of the council, you know that after due diligence I take a position. I make informed decisions and I put my feet on the ground if I need to get the lay of the land. I seek out people who have knowledge on a subject and can provide facts and guidance. I search for information that might provide precedence, and I have conversations with you, the resident. You might agree with me one time, and perhaps not the next time. Even if we're not always in agreement, I hope you can respect my intentions are to always support the residents of this community, and the health of our city at large.

I have gained invaluable knowledge during my time on the council. I've spent an inordinate amount of time learning the dynamics of this community, our departments and the leaders that run them. I have a strong working relationship with the mayor and all of our department heads. From my time spent with these professionals, I can truly say we have great people who work hard for you.

We have a new dynamic coming in the near future. It's going to require people with experience on the council who understand the processes required for zoning requests or development submissions. I have that experience and understanding.

My slogan is "I do the work", because I do! I live here too, and I want to see Bella Vista thrive. However, like you, I don't want our city to lose its character.

I do not solicit nor accept donations to my campaign. I only

represent you, no single individual, special interest group, or political party.

I would appreciate your vote during the December 3rd Runoff!

Sincerely,

Council Member Doug Fowler
